Bangkok · Orientation session

My mother has been sitting with a folder of papers she did not understand for three years. The orientation session was the first time she felt like it was not her fault for being confused — it is just complicated paperwork, and nobody explained it to her before. She came away with the printed roadmap and has referred to it several times since.

Nonthaburi · Workshop

I booked the workshop for myself and my father. We both found it genuinely useful — particularly the folder kit, which I had not expected to value as much as I did. It sounds simple, but having everything labelled and in one place made a real difference to how we both felt about the situation. I would have liked slightly more time on the morning session — we felt a little rushed toward the end, though the facilitator did check if we needed to continue. Worth attending.

Pak Kret · Orientation session

I was not sure what I was walking into — I thought it might be something that quietly pushed me toward other services. It was not. They explained what the session was for, what they do not do, and were straightforward about pointing me toward a registered adviser for the parts that were outside their scope. That honesty made me trust the rest of what they said.

Expat, Bangkok · Workshop

As a long-term expat trying to understand Thai and foreign pension paperwork simultaneously, I had felt stuck for months. The workshop was practical in the right way — not overwhelming, just methodical. Having someone sit alongside me while I went through my own papers was exactly what I needed. I left with a folder I actually understand and can add to.

Nonthaburi · Orientation

A calm and well-paced session. I came in thinking I had a basic understanding of what my paperwork covered, but the orientation showed me there were a few areas I had not thought about. The roadmap is a good document — concise, clear. I would recommend this to older family members particularly.

HR Manager, Nonthaburi · Advisory

We engaged Longview for the Provider Process Advisory to look at how our HR team handles pension paperwork for older staff. The written recommendations were practical and clearly written — not a generic template. Two of the suggested changes are already in place and the team has found them helpful. The honest framing of what Longview does versus what a regulated adviser should do was also useful in helping us understand where to direct people.

Case Studies

A closer look at three journeys

These accounts follow participants from their first point of contact through to what they took away from their session.

Case Study 01 · Individual

From a pile of papers to a workable folder

Starting point

A 68-year-old retired teacher in Pak Kret had accumulated documents over thirty years and had no clear sense of what each was for or whether anything was missing. Her daughter had tried to help but found it equally confusing.

What happened

The pair attended the Organised-Together Workshop. With facilitation, they sorted the documents into categories, discarded duplicates, and labelled each section of the provided folder. The facilitator explained what each category generally covered in plain terms.

Outcome

They left with a complete personal file, a labelling checklist, and a shared understanding. The participant later reported feeling much calmer when discussing paperwork with her registered adviser — she arrived with organised documents and better questions.

"I did not feel embarrassed about not knowing. That made all the difference."

Case Study 02 · Expat Family

Making sense of paperwork from two countries

Starting point

A retired British couple, long-term residents in Bangkok, had paperwork relating to both UK and Thai retirement provisions. Their son, visiting from the UK, had joined to help but they had all ended up confused about what was relevant to Thailand.

What happened

All three attended the orientation together. The session focused on general paperwork literacy — how to identify document types, what each might relate to, and how to organise them. The facilitator was clear that specific entitlement questions required a qualified professional.

Outcome

The couple identified the documents they needed to take to their registered adviser — and understood enough to feel confident asking relevant questions. Their son was able to leave Thailand knowing they had a clear starting point.

"We stopped feeling like we were in over our heads. The roadmap helped — and we knew what we still needed proper advice for."

Case Study 03 · Organisation

Calmer internal processes for a community care provider

Starting point

A small community care provider in Nonthaburi was finding that staff were inconsistent in how they handled residents' pension-related documents — leading to confusion, misplaced papers, and occasionally distressed residents.

What happened

Longview conducted a Provider Process Advisory — reviewing the team's current approach in a half-day meeting and producing a written recommendations report within five working days.

Outcome

The provider implemented three of the five recommendations within the following month. Document handling became more consistent, and staff reported feeling clearer about what fell within their role and what required referral to a qualified adviser.

"The report was direct and practical. Not what we feared — which was a generic document. They had clearly paid attention in the review meeting."
